What?
In this and the following modules, you become an independent user of French. The acquired basic skills are repeated and deepened. The vocabulary is considerably extended with new word fields, but also with synonyms, proverbs and the like. At the end of the course you can express yourself in French in a nuanced way.
Among other things, we travel through the wonderful world of the senses, learn how to make a telephone call, express our views on art and culture, feelings, happiness, superstition, ecology, and so on. The grammatical aspect is not neglected either, but it is never a goal in itself. The grammar is always functional and closely related to the topics dealt with.
A good group atmosphere promotes fluency. Through pair-work, group discussions and class discussions you acquire more and more self-confidence and eventually even dare to give a short presentation in French in front of your fellow course members.
Via texts, audio-visual fragments and songs you learn more and more about French specificities. Annually there is also a film evening programmed. Other possibilities are: a French dinner (whether or not prepared by yourself), a guided city walk, conversation tables with native speakers or any other cultural activity that presents itself.
Do not buy a handbook before the start of the classes. Your teacher will give you the right information during the first class.
