The Mediator (male or female) is appointed and presented by the principal at the start of the school year.

He/she acts as Mediator between you and the evaluation committee. He/she examines all complaints concerning evaluation and deliberation in particular.
He/she has the right to be present during the deliberation and can ask the members of the evaluation committee for all necessary information, from both before and during the deliberation. He/she is bound to confidentiality concerning these deliberations.
He/she has no voting rights in the evaluation committee.
If, during or immediately after the evaluation, you have the impression that irregularities have occurred, you can submit a complaint to the Mediation Service up to three working days after the evaluation (Saturday, Sunday, public holidays and statutory holidays excluded).
The chairman of the evaluation committee or his delegate starts an investigation and decides whether the evaluation or part of it should be redone.
This procedure must be settled within three working days following the filing of the complaint (Saturday, Sunday, public holidays and statutory holidays excluded).
As a student, you have the right to consult your file, including the assessments. You can make an appointment with the principal or deputy principal of your study programme to get access to it.
