Would you like to follow a course to strengthen your position on the labour market? If you are eligible for training vouchers, you can use them to pay for part of the programme. You only pay half of the training voucher yourself, the Flemish government pays the other half.
Since 1 September 2020, the Department of Work and Social Economy (DWSE) has been responsible for the training voucher system. Training vouchers are applied for via the WSE desk, the department's e-service desk.
From 1 September 2020, you will no longer be able to apply for training vouchers via VDAB, but rather via the WSE desk.
This means that you can apply for your training vouchers digitally. More information can be found here.
In principle, training vouchers only exist in digital form. Edenred, the company issuing and paying out the training vouchers, will only deliver paper training vouchers if the applicant has not provided an email address.
Usually, you need to pay part of the value of the training voucher yourself. You have until 14 calendar days after the payment request to pay that individual contribution into Edenred's account. Otherwise, the approved application for the training voucher will be cancelled.
The voucher will state your name, the name of the training and the name of Crescendo CVO.
If you still have sufficient balance to purchase vouchers, you can always submit a new application for an amount of your choice (e.g. if the training turns out to be slightly more expensive than initially thought).
You can still use your VDAB paper training vouchers after 1 September 2020 until the end of November (if they are still valid).
After the Department of Work and Social Economy has processed your application, it will send you its decision by email:
